Cannot comment on the product as the item was not delivered as promised. I ordered this item on the 23rd Nov 2010 and shipping was 8-15 days according to order confirmation. On the 10th Dec I recieved an email stating the item is due to arrive into the warehouse in the next couple of days and an email will be sent on dispatch. On the 15th Dec I recieve an email stating the item is currently out of stock and delivery date cannot be confirmed. Very frustrating considering the intent of item was a xmas gift for kids.
I tried to order this product last year, but was frustrated by the delay and poor communication from Fishpond. Ordered in early December but after some weeks it never arrived. When I queried where the purchase was up to (after Christmas) I got got an automated reply cancelling the order. No explanation and no apology. I am sure the product is good but perhaps buy elsewhere!
What do we like about this LEGO Box? Love the see through lid - we haven't had this on any of our other LEGO box sets! I love the way that the lid clicks and stays in place - no spills or tips with 100s of blocks everywhere! The kids like having the extra base plate - apparently you can never have too many! And that there is a cool minifig that you don't find anywhere else. It's great that the box is big enough that the kids can create stuff and I can tidy it away into the box ... without having to break it down!
The brick box is literally the bread and butter of LEGO. I grew up on this stuff and it has unlimited possibilities within that single box. You can build skyscrapers to motor vehicles, your imagination is your limit. This box also includes a single mini figure which really increases the fun.
