I was very happy with my purchase. The toy is reasonably durable, so long as you don't actively go out of your way to destroy it, and it feels surprisingly comfortable in the hand. I've heard that the prop department during Tennants era kept these are handy spares, and it shows - I've freeze-framed episodes, and lo and behold, the rumours are true! The light can be used as a limited flashlight in pitch-black, but otherwise just gives a weak glow. It sounds like it should, and it's weighty enough to feel satisfying to hold. The only complaint I have is the button for the slider - it's very flimsy, and can pop off. A very small amount of blutack fixed that. It may be intended for minors (although how many minors now are going to remember Tennant after Smith walked into their lives?) but adults will still be satisfied with it as well, if they want a little keepsake of what it feels strange to now call "the old days".
