Performer Notes
  • As the film adaptation of the Twilight saga moves into the first installment of its final chapter, Breaking Dawn, Pt. 1, the soundtrack continues to deliver the moody, autumnal atmosphere that typifies the series. Breaking from tradition of Twilight soundtracks past, there are no songs from dramatic art-proggers Muse this time, but listeners can still expect a mix of high-profile acts as well as rising stars. Bruno Mars offers the melancholy ballad "It Will Rain" with lyrics like "`Cause there'll be no sunlight/If I lose you, baby", reading like a page from Bella's diary, while Christina Perri ponders eternal love on "A Thousand Years," a fitting theme for a human-vampire wedding.

Professional Reviews

5 of 5 Stars! '

This soundtrack is GREAT! leading up to the release of this album i wondering if it would be any good but after i listen to all the songs it blew me away. Putting angus & julia stone, Bruno Mars and Christina Perri really made a change from there last albums with mostly unheard names. In this album there is an equal balance of slow songs and rock songs. My favourite songs from this album are turning page by Sleeping At Last which is my favourite song out of all of the twilight albums and also endtapes which is also a really good song!

This is by far the best Twilight Saga album with really great songs.

5 of 5 Stars! '

This album is fantastic!! I was so excited to be given it as a gift and have had it on repeat for over a week now! The thing about the twilight soundtracks are that they really do carefully choose the songs that give meaning to the moments in the movie but are also unique and unusual. Great to hear the Wedding Version of Flightless Bird American Mouth, and ever since I heard Bruno's song "It will rain" months ago i have played it hundreds of times. If you are a twilight fan or know a twilight fan this will truely be one of their most treasured albums so its a great Christmas gift idea. Even my non-twilight fan friends have enjoyed listening to this album...

I've heard quite a few of these songs and I can't wait to purchase the physical copy of this soundtrack! The Twilight movies always have the most beautiful music in it. I recommend you check out Carter Burwell and Iron & Wine in particular though :D Super chill music! This would make the perfect gift for Twilight fans of any age.
