I alone, Lightning Crashes, All Over You are my fave songs off this, the best album that Live released.
Trowing Copper was one of the first CDs that I bought myself, that I actually still own and play regularly.
All of their songs off this album were beautiful soft rock songs that are great to listen to over and over.
A truly great album to own.
This is the best Live album. End of discussion. It showcases emotions, pure rock energy in a grandeur way. Plus it is the least preachy album of theirs which in my opinion is good. “The Dam at Otter Creek”, “Selling the Drama” and “Iris” are phenomenal. “White Discussion” is also an epic piece. Not to mention the all so deservedly famous “Lightning Crashes”, one of the most emotional songs of its time. If you have any Live albums or like the band, shame on you for mot owning this.
Play it LOUD. This album is rock, but it is sensitive rock, and it is very ,very cool. It's particularly nice to hear male rockers in touch with the fact that they can love ('I Alone'), to know what it is like to be a little strange, and to lose a friend ('Lightning Crashes'). The songs after Sh*t Towne are a bit too rocky for my taste, and the loss of melody makes the album not hang together so well.
