Here you go, Elton fans--a definitive two-disc collection of some of the bespectacled one's most beloved tunes. The full gamut of Elton John's stellar career is covered here. The archetypal singer-songwriter introspection of "Your Song" kicks things off, giving way in short order to the more glam pop moments of "Honky Cat" and "Saturday Night's All Right For Fighting." The Roy Orbison-like ballad "Don't Let the Sun Go Down on Me" and the moving, mournful "Sorry Seems to be the Hardest Word" represent the sadder side of the usually sunny popster. The second disc digs into Elton's later work, coming up with such gems as the surprisingly rocking "I Don't Wanna Go On With You Like That" and the Beatleseque "I Want Love," the latter proving that the 21st century found Elton still standing, in artistic terms.

Despite not being a die-hard Elton John fan, I would recommend this album for those who listen to him in moderation (high levels of listening to him may pose dangerous). Good for a laugh and captures of those golden oldies, as well as some of the newer songs like Circle of Life. I would rate this cd with 3.5 - 4 stars.
An excellent album consisting of some of their best songs, a great complication. I enjoyed the majority all of the tracks on here, but felt some of their best work was missing. In spite of this is still a must have to any fan and for the great price you can’t go wrong...

The ultimate collection for any Elton fan. It has all the songs we love and the new ones like "this train" and more. The sound quality is fantastic and listening to it reminds of you of just how talented an artist Elton is. I'd recommend this to even a non fan who will definitely convert after listening to these selections.
What can i say, this guy is legendary, excellent piano player, amazing vocals and has done many performances with other artists like guns n roses, queen, country singers. etc, so for any rock fan, this album is an essential, it contains all the great stuff by him, i dont have this exact one, i have an older cd. But it contains pretty much all these songs.
If your a new listener to Elton John, which i doubt, then this is perfect, if your a long time fan of Elton John, u wouldnt even need to read these reviews.
For fans of elton john, or just really good music - this would be a great album to get. Usually greatest hits albums are pretty failsafe, but this one really goes ahead and displays all of the most brillint songs that elton has ever released. You will listen to this again and again, so its worth the money.
