A runaway success in the UK, EYE TO THE TELESCOPE, KT Tunstall's debut, finally hit the States in early 2006, a year after its initial release. On this assured 12-song set, the Scottish singer/songwriter mines a charmingly sensitive and intelligent vein of pop/rock that positions her somewhere in between Beth Orton and Sheryl Crow. The key to Tunstall's sound is her resonant and soulful voice, and the album's bold, but never over-the-top production only serves to further enhance her songs. Though the highlights of the disc include the jangly "Another Place to Fall," the eminently catchy "Black Horse and the Cherry Tree," and the shuffling "Suddenly I See," the entire record is surprisingly solid, easily ensuring a bright future for Tunstall.

Eye to the Telescope is a fun and light hearted album by the KT Tunstall. The album features the hit single suddenly i see which appeared on popular show greys anatomy, boosting KT Tunstall onto the world stage. If you want an album that is soulful yet not depressing this is one for you!
suddenly i see!!amazingly talented artist. great songs that are very heartfelt and beautifully paces music. people of all ages with 100% love this cd as it is a timeless record to add to your collection. definatley reccomend forking out some money for this one because its totally a keeper!
KT Tunstall was an instant success with this 12 cut album. There are some hit & miss songs but mostly everything is on the hit side of the ledger. The songs are different enough so that the album doesnt blend all into one. Probably the best track on the album is Big Black Horse & cherry tree.
this cd seems like it would be filled with hits, as people seemed to go crazy after this woman after the song suddenly i see, but it is actually fairly boring bar the radio releases and " Other Side Of The World". sure, she has a nice voice, but those songs are the only things that set her apart from others such as norah jones, and as she only has a few good ones, she is fairly forgettable.
With the smash hits Suddenly I See, Black Horse And The Cherry Tree and Other Side Of The World, it seemed that this would be a great CD to own. However the rest of the CD is ho hum, with nothing else comeing up to the level of those songs. And those three songs become old real quick, especially given the amount of airtime. Don't bother.
I first heard "suddenly i see" on the advertisement for the television show "Grey's Anatomy" and i loved it. however, i quickly got sick of it after hearing it constantly as it was played on the radio repeatedly as it seems. i didnt really like the cd, it had few good songs on it.
I just hate it when I buy a CD and there ends up being only one or two great songs and the rest suck. I'm sorry to say but this is what I found when I bought this CD. Apart from 'Suddenly I See' the songs on this album are nothing special. Unfortunately I didn't but this CD from fishpond and never got to preview the songs, but you can!!

a really good easy listening cd by KT tunstell. shot to fame in NZ thru play on the greys anatomy add, kt soon made a name for herself elsewhere, eg the cafe scene, with her easy listeing and pleasnt tunes to listen to. this is a cd tht will probabaly appeal to adults etc
when i first heard KT tunstel's soon-to-be hit "suddenly i see" on the grey's anatomy ad, i instantly fell in love with her music. her voice is so strong and really compliments the music on the album. i quickly got sick of "suddenly i see" though, but by the time her second single ihit the airwaves i quickly rew to like it.
