This two-disc set features 22 of lang’s most beloved recordings including an all-new interpretation of the
Leonard Cohen classic “Hallelujah,” which has become a moving highlight of her live performances.

Recollection comes on the heels of lang’s critically acclaimed 2008 release, Watershed, hailed by Rolling

gutsy voice, great song choices. this is the first cd of hers that i have bought too. i bought it for her version of leonard cohen's 'hallelujah', and found a great selection of songs. one or two of cole porter songs, roy orbison's 'crying' to name some. she duets with tony bennet, jane silberry. also of note, is the use of 'real' instruments - including violin and cello etc which add an additional depth to the songs.
don't you think cohen's 'hallelujah' is one of the best songs written? k d lang would have to do the best female of the song, while jeff buckley the best male version.
k d lang, i'm sure, could sing anything.
