On July 7th 1990 at the ancient Baths of Caracalla in Rome, Luciano Pavarotti, Plcido Domingo and Jos Carrerras, along with Zubin Mehta conducting the Orchestra del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino and the Orchestra del Teatro dell'Opera di Roma, gave what was to become one of the most memorable classical performances of all time. The 1990 concert was such a huge hit that there were subsequent concerts in 1994 (Los Angeles), 1998 (Paris) and 2002 (Yokohama). All were huge successes, but the original was always considered the greatest - the night when opera became truly global. The concert, went on to sell 12 million copies and became the world's best-ever selling classical album and the The Three Tenors 1990 Concert became the world's FIRST EVER music DVD in 1997, going on to sell a staggering 1 million copies. To celebrate the 20th anniversary of The Three Tenors legendary concert, Universal Strategic Marketing and Decca are pleased to announce a Special Edition Anniversary package of this landmark 1990 concert.
