Liner Note Author: Richard Jenkins.
A delightful collection of old 78s from the late '20s and early '30s featuring some great little pop songs. Ben Selvin, Jan Garber, and Ted Weems are the three big names here, but tracks from obscure groups like the Jesse Stafford Orchestra ("Shine"), the Broadway Nitelites (a nice cover of "I Wanna Be Loved by You"), the Green Brothers Novelty Orchestra, and the Ambassadors are the real fuel that drives this set. A wonderful artifact with solid transfers. Well worth tracking down. ~ Cub Koda
