  • The Columbia River label knows how peaceful falling asleep in a rain forest can be. Their immaculately recorded Nature's Rhythms: Tropical Jungle conjures up images of dew beading on the rich flora and fauna of the canopy floor, and quiet brooks filled with unimaginable terrors. The first track, "Spirits of the Jungle," places the listener miles beneath the billowing trees and hanging moss, alone and surrounded by nervous birds and gigantic insects, while "Jungle Dreams" elevates the cacophony by adding the desperate mating calls of poisonous dart frogs. The jungle. Peaceful on the surface, yet full of activity when you delve further beneath the canopy. Birds calling from the highest tree tops. Ants crawling around on the soil. Butterflies gracefully floating through the sky. In the distance a waterfall gushes with force over a rocky ledge and into the pool below. A chainsaw suddenly buzzes as mans' footprint encroaches deeper and deeper into sacred territory.
