Whirimako Black 'Live' captures her beautiful 2007 concert recorded live at The Holy Trinity Cathedral in Parnell, Auckland. It marks the only time that one of her full concert performances has been captured for broadcast on national television and then for subsequent release on both CD and DVD.
Thanks to the fabulous setting and amazing acoustic qualities of the Holy Trinity Cathedral, the recording is excellent, the performances are extraordinary and the audience was transfixed. Whirimako is joined here by guitarist Joel Haines and critically acclaimed American jazz oboist Russel Walder.
'Live' showcases material from Whirimako's two albums 'Tangihaku' (selected by Nick Bollinger for his 100 Top NZ
Albums book), and 'Kura Huna'.
