- In the 1960's there were musicians such as pianists Roger Williams and Peter Nero who presented "easy listening" instrumental interpretations of current or classic pop hits. Times and tastes have changed since, and that tradition was in danger of dying out. Not while Tom McBryde's around--he's a pianist from Nashville who unashamedly specializes in mellow, loyal-to-the-original-melody versions of select pop songs. In this case, McBryde shines his light on the catalog of the one of the most enduring vocalists of the 20th century, Barbra Streisand. Her songs have stood the test of time, and McBryde's bright technique presents them in a loving manner.
