Performer Notes
  • Seether: Shaun Morgan (vocals, guitar); Pat Callahan (guitar); Dale Stewart (bass guitar); John Humphrey (drums).
  • Fans only familiar with Seether's massive crossover hit "Broken" (which features Evanescence's Amy Lee), may be surprised by the sheer rock power of KARMA & EFFECT. Hundreds of shows and two additional permanent members have provided the band with a fully gelled sound that gives breathing room to massive guitar riffs and Shaun Morgan's brooding baritone voice. That said, the group's pop instincts are still in full effect; "Remedy" has a catchy Stone Temple Pilots-esque melody, while sections of "Plastic Man" sound like Nickelback covering Nick Drake. "The Gift" features a hip-hop-like beat underneath a world-weary vocal melody. "Given," however, is driven by a tectonic plate of a guitar lick worthy of Black Sabbath and Soundgarden. An overall heavier and more relaxed-sounding effort, KARMA & EFFECT is the sound of a band coming into it's own.

My favorite album at the time, and good reason to be. its crammed full of good hard rock. simplest mistake being one of my favorite tracks. each track as the same hard rock sound, yet with their subtle differences makes one amazing cd

This is one of my favourite albums, a must for anyone who enjoys anything rock or mellow rock. The entire album flows along nicely my favourite track if I had to pick one would be plastic man, nice and acoustic and a great closer. I would recommend picking this album up for sure.

this is a really wicked seether album, as per usual though! one can always expect such good rock from seether that it is always a joy to listen to. this album is no different, and makes for a really rock steady listen. soem amazing guitar riffs on here, such fun to rock out to! i love the song Remedy from this album!

this is seethers second album and its bloody awesome aye, as far as a sophomore album goes this is a really good one and that curse certainly hasn’t visited itself on these south Africans. Some great songs on here to remedy and the new single the gift, plastic man is one of my favourites and so is diseased. Top album worth a listen.

I got this album because of Remedy, which I loved to bits from the first time I heard it. This album is awesome and a great buy. Seether is an awesome band and their music is cool. The only songs I don't really like from this album is Plastic man and the hidden track, the hidden track really doesn't sound like Seether at all. But other then that it's a GREAT album and it gets 5 stars because I luv it so much.

this album is simply amazing, compared to their first album its heavier where its heavy and softer where its soft. the lyrics are filled with depth and are easy to relate to and feel whats being put across. the song remedy had a big hit on the radio and lately ive been hearing "the Gift" on the raido as well.

Like a lot of other people, I found this a real improvement over their previous works. Karma and Effect is much heavier, more melodic and slightly more musically complex, with catchier songs and riffs. "Remedy" was a good first single, and other stand out songs include "The Gift", "Truth" and "World Falls Away".

these guys arent my favourite band i.e. they arnt the greatest band around but this is a very good album, much heavier than the songs i had previously owned, it has great songs like remedy and truth which had some weird video clips, definitly a great album for rock band lovers

Heavy pop rock is what these guys play. "Remedy" is a very good song, which kinda sounded like Nirvana for a start. I can see a definate grunge influence here. The vocals are a real standout and the guitar work, while simple is very good. I reccomend this to any pop rock fans out there.

Im not a fan of Seether but Karma and Effect is an kik ass album, with hit singles like "remedy" and "truth" this rock band has really gone heavy (unlike Disclaimer which licked nuts) but my favourite songs would have to be "world falls away" and "simplest mistake", seether really outdid themselves on this album, a must have for rock lovers
