- Il Divo were the first of many experimental Simon Cowell-created bands that found success on the global radio waves in the 2000s era. Their success was immediate and explosive: a pop-opera group of four attractive young men covering such hits as "Unbreak My Heart" in their native language made Il Divo instant superstars. This album found success globally, ranking in the Top Five of 25 different countries, including reaching number one in 13 of them. The album's unique presentation of four operatic pop singers in a "boy band for adults" fashion paved the way for many contemporaries to enter the scene globally. ~ Matthew Chisling

A fine effort for an ultra fine band. Their ahrmonics and vocal prowess are excellent and I'm not surprised that this group was founded by the legendary Simon Cowell, the frank tell-it-like-it-is judge of American Idol Fame. This group is set to soar and will remain in thef ray for many years to come. BEAUTIFUL music and lovely arrangements!

Lush orchestral arrangements are applied to Spanish-language readings of Toni Braxton's "Unbreak My Heart (Regresa a Mi)" and Frank Sinatra's signature "My Way (A Mi Manera)," enhancing the romantic sweep of the originals. Although much of Il Divo's repertoire is performed in Spanish or Italian, the group also offers up the English-language tunes "Mama," "The Man You Love," and "Every Time I Look at You," which features swelling strings and light piano. As a bonus, the album includes a hidden track--an Italian version of "Unchained Melody," which is tailor-made for Il Divo's bold, dramatic phrasing

this is the brilliant debut cd by wicked boy band group il divo, formed by the one and onyl simon cowel! my fave tracks include mama, and just to be the amn you love, both of which are oh so heartwarming and great to sing along to, perfect for car trips etc! must have for fans of boy band harmonising!
