The most beautiful and luscious pieces ever written for one of the world's most gorgeous instruments are on this CD. The familiar and the obscure are combined in a magical mix of old and new music. A number of cellists are featured, including Jacqueline du Pre and Mstislav Rostropovich. A successful range of wonderful cello music.

If you are a classical music fan and want to rest on the sofa then this Cello Music Cd is for you. Lovely music but the playing is really wonderful and I recommend this CD to all. The second disc is a bit more obscure in the choice of tunes but if you like the cello they all grow on you until they are as familiar as the rest. Lovely gift for someone.
