To co-incide with Disney's Blockbuster Movie Of The Year, THE CHRONICLES OF NARNIA; THE LION, THE WITCH AND THE WARDROBE - MUSIC INSPIRED BY soundtrack will be released!
The beloved CS Lewis books – one of the Biggest Selling Book Series of all time behind Harry Potter has sold in excess of 85 million copies. The film was directed by Andrew Adamson (Shrek, Shrek 2) and will be released on December 26 (Boxing Day). Disney will be spending 65 million in advertising to market this movie across the globe including more than 20 strategic partners; McDonald’s, Virgin Atlantic Airways, Energizer. Locally, there will be extensive synergy-promotions in lead-up to the movie hitting the cinemas, which will flow onto the release of the soundtrack.
Performer Notes - As part of the broad marketing effort ramping up to the release of the first film in the Chronicles of Narnia series, MUSIC INSPIRED BY THE CHRONICLES OF NARNIA is one of the first merchandising tie-ins that makes plain the series' rooting in Christian theology. A collection of eleven new songs by popular Contemporary Christian Music artists like Stephen Curtis Chapman and Jars of Clay, the album is only tangentially related to the movie. Still, it contains previously unreleased material by many of the biggest stars in mainstream CCM, and is therefore essential to fans of the style, and perhaps even the film.
