Pretty tight, love the West Coast bounce Dre is so good at producing. However this album is nothing on The Chronic 2001.

Dr Dre's best thing he's done since NWA's "Straight Outta Compton". Some phat beats here and there over some awesome rapping. The lyrics are great and the music is great. Dr Dre is one of the best rappers out there.

When you consider Dr. Dre's track record it's rather surprising that he's actually only released two solo albums. "The Chronic", however, is the foundation for everything Dr. Dre went on to accomplish in his career. Released in 1992, amidst the eerie tension of the Los Angeles riots, this seminal piece of rap history has done marvellous things for its creator and its participants. It started an entire sub-genre of rap: G-Funk, launched the careers of several Westcoast rappers, and made a living, breathing superstar of the man at its epicentre. It's a real hip-hop classic and landmark. Dre, unsurprisingly, never recreated the sustained magic found here ("2001") had it in large parts, but not completely).

You can't call yourself a Dr. Dre fan if you don't have this! Seriously one of the most famous C.D's in all history, at least according to me. A total must have for all hip hop and rap fans anywhere, man. I own it, all my cousins own it, all our friends own it, even my mother has her own copy! YEAH!

Nice! Very Nice! Fans of old school Rap will love this one. Fresh out of N.W.A. Dre retains a lot of the group's style in this album, while beginning to experiment with his own sound. Very well done and a must have classic addition to any serious Rap fan's collection.
