I love Crowded House. Have everything they have ever done. I do not need to own this album, but on looking at the track list, a couple of comments I wish to make. I am thrilled to see the inclusion of Pour Le Monde from the Time on Earth album, but I would not have included Chocolate Cake from Woodface. Most of CH's material has stood up well to the test of time and Chocolate Cake is one of the few that hasn't. I would have replaced it with something like Kare Kare from Together Alone or There Goes God from Woodface, both great tracks. I am a fan of the more obscure numbers also, but they have included some of my absolute favorites: Dont Dream It's Over, Fingers of Love, Fall At Your Feet, Nails in my Feet, and Private Universe. I must have listened to each of those songs hundreds of times and I never get tired of them. Just pure perfect pop with insightful lyrics, understated yet powerful vocals (think a combo of McCartney and Lennon) and production which adds to rather than takes away from the whole. It is such a shame that in America they have a smaller following. That following remains intensely loyal however. I saw them live twice this year and there were many people in the crowd that knew all the lyrics. I heard a young man say to his friend. I had no idea they are this good. If you are curious about Crowded House, do yourself a favor and buy this album. You won't regret it.
