Tsotsi is a gritty and moving portrait of an angry young man living in a state of extreme urban deprivation. His world pumps with the raw energy of "Kwaito music" - the modern beat of the ghetto that reflects his troubled state of mind. it is a really well made movie i reacon.

This is a truly beautiful and moving film. Winner of best foreign film at the 2006 Academy Awards, "Tsotsi" is a powerful and riveting insight into the lives of South Africans living in poverty in the ghettos of Soweto, just outside Johannesburg. It follows the main character, Tsotsi, as he shoots a lady and steals her car. Little does he know, the woman's baby is in the back seat. With the discovery of a stolen child, Tsotsi is confused and must embark on a life-changing journey within himself to find out who he is and what he will do. I really loved this movie, especially for the acting and music. The ending was appropriate and slightly predictable, but nevertheless, it was so emotional, I was crying at the end.
