A pretty stale sequel looks more like a spoof comedy than a horror. Leatherface is completely ridiculed in this film as he is portrayed as a screaming cross dressing wuss, a drastic change from the previous film. Amusing to see Renee Zellwegger in her first role, surprising to see her career took off as all she offers in this film is screaming. Completest will want to see this, but all others should just stick with the original.

I didnt really like this movie aye, o a fan of the original texas chain saw masacre movie and thought the remake wasnt too bad, gave me some jumps, which i must give this movie credit for, it made me jump a few times but all in all i just didnt enjoy it that much, fans of th orignal and remake may enjoy this more than i did though

A group of prom-going teens take a fatal detour into the Texas woods and get into an accidental car crash. Stranded with no place to go, they seek help in Darla, a seemingly innocent insurance agent whose office is located near by. After Darla calls for help, they set out back to the scene of the crash, and are found and terrorized by Leatherface, his crazy brother, Vilmer, and are taken to an old farmhouse where they meet the rest of the cannibalistic clan.

texas chainsaw massacre the next generation is good but does not meet the standard of the original texas chainsaw massacre. it gets a little boring at times and is tedious in parts. it is a pretty good movie but not an essesntial for your dvd collection. the acting is great though and very convincing. the talented cast makes up for what the plot lacks.

If you can sit through this movie I applaud you, Renee Zew whatever screaming for an hour and a hald arggh! Drives you crazy. Remakes, sequels never work, this is an awful movie, if you love the original you will hate this. The original is a cult classic, this does not even deserve the title 'b' movie, it is as lame as hell, totally dogs the ethics of horror movies. Give this one a miss and go for the original, but at this price, if you like it it is worth the money

um ok i totally agree with the previous review however i must say that the original texas chainsaw massacre is incredibly lame. its just a girl running screaming at the top of her voice for like an hour and a half. apparently the latest version of this particular movie is rather good but i wont risk watching it as i have seen this movie like a billion times just done with varying degrees of skill.

this would have to be one of the worst sequal/remake/prequel movies i have seen. turning leatherface into a confused crossdressor removed any threat by him. and of course in any slasher film there are the helpless teenagers stuck out in the middle of nowhere and getting killed one at a time.

the original texas chainsaw massacre is worth collecting but this version should have no higher place than coaster for your favourite beer or softdrink.

This is 1 weird movie, the first texas chain saw massacre was freaky as, this one is also very scary but nowhere near as scary as the original, still it gives you fights alot of the time, in all honesty i thought the story sucked (not that theifrts was that great) but sequel wise it wasnt that great

If the original movie Texas Chainsaw Massacre then you will thouroughly enjoy this new re do of the movie. Full of gut renching horror, Matthew Mc Cohgerty and renne Zellwegger star in an amazing role and bring this hell hole story to the big screen. It scared the living daylights out of me, I was scared to the brink where I had to close mt eyes. As its a redo of an old movie you know whats gunna happen but its still a great re do. The Next Generation is a top movie. prepare for the chainsaws screaming engine, it will send chills down your spine!!!

this is a must watch for anyone who enjoyed the original texas chainsaw massacre movie, as it tells more about the next generation of victims, and stars some of our generations stars such as matthew mconaughy. this is also a great watch for any fan of the horror and thriller genre, some heart pumping scenes!
