As children, Princess Odette and Prince Derek hated the thought that someday they would be forced to marry. Yet, as they grew up, their looks as well as their feelings for each other changed. However, in one night everything goes wrong, Derek makes an insulting remark, and Odette vanishes. With everyone believing her dead, Derek is the only one who will not give up hope, using what little clues he has to track down whatever took the princess. Meanwhile, in a secluded ruin, an enchanter with an eye for Odette's kingdom has turned the beautiful maiden into a swan. She may only remain in her human form when moonlight touches the lake she's imprisoned beside. As the two search for one another, they learn what it takes to make a vow of love that can last eternity.

The first wedding anniversary of Princess Odette and Prince Derek is distracted by field fires set by Knuckles. His master Clavius, wants to conquer the world, and he needs to capture a giant orb to do that. Clavius kidnaps Queen Uberta and Odette with Derek have to save her.

Well, I won't say that it was the best of the three, but it is still a fairly good movie that stands on its own feet quite well. When you consider that there are other movies that don't do as well as this one for their first in a series, it doesn't look too bad. The music in the first and second are far better, though. The songs in number three are nowhere near as memorable. That said, still a good watch, and a perfect way to complete the set.
Get a couple of the swan princess stories in the one dvd set - making this a great gift item for the special children in your life. The first is a retelling of the classic ballet 'swan lake', though I am not sure if any dance in history has been created on the basis of the second movie! Some good stories, great songs, and fun for the kids too.
probably my least favourite of the 3 movies, but i still enjoyed it because of the characters and animation. the storyline wasnt too solid, and i think the creators could have done a better job, but i guess overall it wasnt too bad. worth watching. songs were fair, but not as good as first movies ones. obviously sequels to these kinds of movies are never very successful (eg beauty and the beast 2 and cinderella 2) but this one is quite solid compared to those.
