As the other reviewer has stated this season is not as good as the prior one, in the desire to go out with a "bang" the writers had to very quickly escalate a war then bring it to a satisfactory conclusion all within the space of about half a season as a result everything feels very rushed and there are quite a few plot holes...

The final season for DS9 wasn't quite as good as seasons five and six, but is still a fitting end to the best ever Star Trek series. The replacement character for Jadzia, Ezri Dax, is... well, she's no Jadzia, and it's unfortunate that a number of episodes are dedicated entirely to developing her character, who was only ever going to be the one season. The massive lead-up to the final two-parter is insanely good, as Kira and Odo teach terrorist tactics to the Cardassian resistance, and the fragile alliance between the Romulans, Cardassians and Federation is tested against the sheer might of the Dominion, who have now brought the Breen into the conflict.
