Based on an allegoric historic encounter between white settlers and the Cheyenne Indians of the west, Soldier Blue is a violent drama which enacts the struggle of a US soldier named Honus Gant and a white woman named Cresta who has been captured by the Indians two years earlier.

They are the only survivors of a slaughter committed by the Cheyennes on a cavalry group. The pair is hoping to stay alive until they reach the nearest army outpost. As they travel onward, Honus shows a growing affection for Cresta but he has problems with her beliefs as she has more sympathy for Indians than for the US government.

soldier blue was in my opinion a good movie that I thought was well written with a well thought out story line and a believable plot.The level of acting in this movie was of a good standard with all lines delivered in a well timed manner and it was this and the story lines as well as the interesting characters which made this movie enjoyable to watch.
If you enjoy a well made movie I think you will enjoy this movie and as such is recommended by me.
