Saw is one of my all time favourite movies, along with the sequel (though I never really took to the third). The twists are unbelievably... uh, twisty? Slash clever. You'll watch it and say "OH MY GOD!", if not for the twists, than at least for the bit where Dr Gordon cuts his own leg off. The characters are believable, and I feel the acting is good, though it cops a lot of flack. Overall, everyone should see this movie, immediately followed by the rest of the series. It will make you smile. Or not.

One of the scarest movies that ive ever seen. But also one of the more smart and well ploted and put together ones. If your into scary movies then this is for you. I managed to watch all the gross parts and they weren't that bad but you might find them worse. I think the film has a good motto, don't ruin your life with stupid things like drugs and stuff cause if you do you might find yourself getting caught in one of jigsaws crazy death traps.

The freakiest most disturbing movie I've ever seen. I don't know who comes up with this stuff! While I hid behind my boyfriend, squealing like a schoolgirl in every scene, I frantically stuffed popcorn in my mouth and held my breath at every twist and turn in the plot. Just when I thought I was losing the plot (literally), suddenly it all dawned on me - the popcorn flew across the room and I screamed at the main character to heed my warning....
Too bad he didn't listen - I'll just have to form a bond with the characters in Saw II! A most enjoyable (and cringeworthy) watch.

A raw horror/thriller about a serial killer who selects people taking their lives for granted and abusing it, and putting them in a situation where they must cause grevious bodily harm to themselves or someone else to escape. Two men wake up in a bathroom with no exit, chained to pipes, and giving the instructions that one must kill the other by a certain time. All the while a cop obsessed with the killer is trying to track him down. Thriller and edgy with great twists and gore to please the horror fans out there, Saw is a must see.

Two men wake up at opposite sides of a dirty, disused bathroom, chained by their ankles to pipes. Between them lies a dead man loosely clutching a hand-held tape player and a handgun. Each finds a tape the perfect fit for the player in their back pocket. They play the tapes. One is threatened, the other isn't. But they have a task: One must kill the other by 6:00, or his wife and daughter will die. They find hacksaws in a toilet, and try to cut the chains, but it doesn't work. They are the two newest victims of the Jigsaw Killer. In a flashback, we learn of Amanda, a girl who falls victim to the Jigsaw Killer. On her head is a mask, which is hooked into her lower jaw. There is a timer on it. Only one key will unlock it, and that key is in the digestive tract of her cell mate who lies paralyzed on the opposite side of the room. If she doesn't unlock the mask in time, her lower jaw will be ripped wide open. She survives, but her cell mate doesn't. Through a series of flashbacks, we learn of more victims, and of the nearly-successful capture of the Jigsaw Killer, who doesn't actually kill his victims. Instead, he finds ways to make them kill either themselves, or each other, and he thinks the entire 'game' out perfectly, with no other ways out. Or so it would seem.

The greatest movie of all time about a totally sick and twisted game, about a man named Jigsaw who is pitting people against each other to see if they really want to live, if you can cut off your leg or break your own bones to survive and find your way out then you can live but if you don't have what it takes then goodbye. An amazing movie my favorite movie devised by two Australians, I would just love to know what they were thinking.
Do you have what it takes to survive?

This was an excellent film. A basic premise provides a thrilling horror with twists and turns and the best ending yet. It is hard to admit enjoying such a gory movie, but I did (although I am pleased I saw it on DVD and not at the movies!). Sequel is very good too. Proves that you don't need a massive Hollywood Blockbuster budget to have a well crafted success.

What an Ending! Can you believe the studio was going to release this direct to video? Yep, they where. And now it is the biggest thriller in recent years with two sequels out and another on the way.
It's a Psychological Thriller from two Aussies with a amazing twist.
Critics didn't like it, but everyone who sees it loves it.
The sequels may not be that good, but the original is amazing.
It's not as violent or gorey as you might of heard, but it does have a few scenes with some gore - not much though.
The acting may be one of the worst I've seen in a long time, but the films story and script don't matter about that.
Don't miss it!
