FBI Agent Will Graham has been called out of early retirement to catch a serial killer, known by authorities as "The Tooth Fairy". He asks for the help of his arch-nemesis, Dr. Hannibal "The Cannibal" Lecter, so that he can be able to catch "The Tooth Fairy" and bring him to justice. The only problem is that "The Tooth Fairy" is getting inside information about Graham and his family from none other than Dr. Lecter.
a masterpiece following the great legicay of hanibal. A remake of manhunt and in most ways better. It is so genuis in its own way that you don't even have to follow the hanibal movies to grasp it. Following a retired FBI agent with the ability to understand and imagine what goes on inside a killers mind. He must stop the dreded red dargon before he kills more people. Askign for hannibals help in the matter he is confronted with the truth of how dangerous this man really is.
this is another film in the hannibal series, and is average as far as they go. this one focusses a bit too much on the boring side of things, and less on him eating stuff, which is basically what most people want to see. more good acting from anthony hopkins though, he is the perfect guy to play someone so creepy!
I was quite unimpressed with this movie, im not sure why as i thought the movies hannible and silenc of the lambs were really awesome movies but his movie got me really bored really quickly, though i have to say the guy that plyed the red dragon did a really good acting job, hes a really awesome actor, just didnt like the movie
Based on the first of Thomas Harris' "Hanibal Lecter" trilogy of novels, this 2002 thriller has an FBI agent (Edward Norton as Will Graham) hunts down the Tooth Fairy, a tortured serial killer named Francis Dolarhyde. Hopkins returns as Lecter - and he is chilling... The title refers to a painting by William Blake entitled "The Great Red Dragon and the Woman Clothed in Sun"... not bad...
well this is a remake of the very first hannibal lecter movie called manhunter which starred william peterson as the lead and was directed by michael mann. purists would claim that the original was better than this but i would have disagree as this movie has a great performance from ed norton whereas william peterson is way over the top, also the manhunter version has a really bad soundtrack and the whole early miami vice michael mann feel. worth a watch at any rate.
