Between somewhere and nowhere in the untamed West is the small town of Refuge. There, neither the sheriff nor his deputy carry a sidearm. There's no jail either, because shooting, carousing and bad blood are not in the town's character. What peaceful folks live there? Wild Bill Hickok. Doc Holliday. Jesse James. Billy the Kid. All long dead. All mysteriously given a chance to undo their violent pasts in Purgatory. All put to a stern test when Blackjack and his ornery gang ride into town.
Synopsis
A lost band of outlaws wanders into a peaceful little town. At first, they mistake the quiet inhabitants of Refuge for easy marks. Then they recognize Doc Holliday, Billy The Kid and Wild Bill Hickok and realize this town is really purgatory, the deciding ground between heaven and hell. Which makes them...dead.

I give it 5 stars it is just so great, the story line kept on going even after it finished just running in my head over and over and over again, I love this movie and you will to you should definitely buy this DVD, Westerns just take me away, it is an action packed classic full of shoot ups and gun fights, it is an amazing movie, I have this in my collection and you do to, This movie is an absolute classic no collection is complete without it...

An almost 'Twilight Zone' spin makes this an interesting western... a band of outlaws rides into a town named refuge that is actually the real Purgatory - part way between heaven and hell... living there are actual dead bad guys who are trying to get into heaven, or will stuff up and wind up in hell - Jesse James, Billy the Kid - the town is violence free - will the baddies plunder it, or likewise lay down their guns? Not bad... made for cable TV...
