I still remember the shock at the last scene of the very first "Planet of the Apes" movie. It was so impressive that the sequels and this TV series - even though it was short lived of just handful of episodes - I watched them all. This TV series did not have the overwhelming sensation like the first one but still entertaining enough not to change the channel during the show. If you are fan of the original movies you will enjoy this one too.
The year is 3085 and astronauts Pete Burke and Alan virden fall through a time warp to land on a planet ruled by apes. This series takes place after the original movies and is very entertaining, great viewing not only for science fiction fans but for everyone.
Planet of the apes was such a popular show back in the seventies and a huge hit. The movie they remade later on wasn't quite as good as the original series. Here you have a couple of astronauts who get caught up in time warp and when they land back on earth, the year is 3085 and the discover that apes now rule the planet.
