I wish to all the gods that I'd never given our copy of this wonderful musical away. It was done in a moment of grief-filled madness.
Now I can't find another, DAMMIT!
The person whose review is dates 9/6/2006 has got it absolutely right: such exuberance! You get the feeling that the whole cast was having a ball, from start to finish - and were they good? WERE THEY WHAT!
I'd pay an awful lot to get a copy again...

Not Quite what I expected but not a bad show. Its a pity we have not got some of this type of entertainment of an Australian nature after all we do have the history to base it on. I can just remember the shows on radio called Dad and Dave, they were good clean Australian entertainment. But I do enjoy Rodgers & Hammerstein works they are of a great family shows.

Hugh Jackman is absolutely amazing in this! The stage production brought to screen. Jackman is the perfect Curly, playing the leading male role with refreshing gusto and showcasing his magnificent voice to perfection. The whole production is exuberant and lively and the various roles really well cast. The music and songs retain their original charm and the story is beautifully brought to life by an obviously enthusiastic cast and crew. Great viewing and listening for everyone.
