Based on the Stephen King novella, The Mist tells of an apocalyptic fog which overcomes the United States' eastern seaboard, swallowing everything - and everyone - in its path. Barricading themselves inside a local supermarket, some of the residents of Bridgton, Maine manage to save themselves from the intitial onslaught, but the worst is yet to come...
With the creatures of the mist lurking just outside the building's flimsy glass walls, and a dangerous religious lunatic gathering influence among the stranded townspeople, David Drayton (Thomas Jane), his young son Billy (Nathan Gamble) and a handful of compatriots must survive the threats both outside and in.
Synopsis
Fear Changes Everything
In this legendary tale of terror from master storyteller Stephen King, David Drayton and his young son Billy are among a large group of terrified townspeople trapped in a local grocery store by a strange, otherworldly mist. David is the first to realise that there are things lurking in the mist deadly, horrifying things creatures not of this world.
Survival depends on everybody in the store pulling together but is that possible, given human nature. As reason crumbles in the face of fear and panic, David begins to wonder what terrifies him more the monsters in the mist or the ones inside the store, the human kind, the people that until now had been his friends and neighbours

The Mist is about as good as Stephen King gets. This film is about a group of people trapped inside a shopping centre by an evil mist. It follows tham as they fight between their fear of what is outside and their fear of what is happening inside. This film shows that you don't always have to know in detail what the evil is in order for it to be creepy, in fact this film works better based on the human fear of the unknown.
