This mvoie is un believably funny, will msith is the man and this was the first role i saw him in and he was great, this movie is helarious, seriosuly its just awesome, its got some interesting action scenes in there but that not why the movie is good, its all of the ocmedy in there that makes it worthy of watching again and again no matter how old or young you are
Pretty good sci fi comedy film about a secret organisation that deals with all matter of alien life on earth. Will Smith is employed as one of the new boys, and has to be broken in by Tommy Lee Jones. Both guys work well together and the plot is pretty strong. Has some good effects for its time.
Based on a much more serious comic book published by Malibu and then Marvel Comics, Men In Black has a great concept but unfortunately just descends into silly comedy territory, following the adventures of a pair of secret angets (Tommy Lee Jones and Will Smith) working for a shadowy organization protecting us from extra terrestrial threats.
Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones in one movie-what more could you ask for? And there are two movies! That is great stuff and they have done a wonderful job! Men in Black one is exceptionally funny and I really enjoyed the 1997 hit! Is a must watch and i hope you enjoy or enjoyed it as much as I did!!!
Men in Black follows the exploits of agents Kay (Jones) and Jay (Smith), members of a top-secret organization established to monitor and police alien activity on Earth. The two Men in Black find themselves in the middle of the deadly plot by an intergalactic terrorist (Vincent D'Onofrio) who has arrived on Earth to assassinate two ambassadors from opposing galaxies. In order to prevent worlds from colliding, the MiB must track down the terrorist and prevent the destruction of Earth. It's just another typical day for the Men in Black.
Men in black was pretty big when it came out in 1997, and i didnt watch it till a few years later. It is a visually stunning movie and is pretty funny as you would excpect from will smith. This is an absolute alien classic that everybody must watch, i also prefer it over men in black two for some reason, but any..buy it
This 1997 Barry Sonnenfeld directed sci - fi comedy action film is not bad--- Tommy Lee Jones is class as the straight laced company man, and Will Smith plays the hip young newcomer... a bit gross and violent in places, it is action packed but seemed a bit short... Rick Baker's creature creations were awesome, as per usual...
an awesome movie. i first saw this movie with my little brother...he was jumping around everytime an alien popped out...he of course was 6 at the time (and also jumped when watching Zathura). This is a story about how we are not alone in the universe and how there are aliens all around us and if you just look closely you'll see them...you'll notice them. they spend their entire lives trying to fit in - trying to be human!! Will Smith stars as this cop who finds his life turned upside down when he discovers all those movies he watched when he was younger...is true!
People go through life oblivious to the reality around them. As pointed out in this movie, at one time everyone knew the world was flat; and now everyone knows we are alone in the universe. But what if we are wrong? Who will protect us? "Men in black used to be the term for the bad guys. This movie shows they are our last line of defense. This is a fun movie and there are many great actors to add to the fun.
Every one is so busy watching Tommy Lee Jones make his stoic looks and Will making one-liners that they miss the person that hold it all together. In addition, that person has to do act throughout the movie in an Edgar suit. Have you ever tried one on? Vincent D'Onofrio has to look unnatural and act natural. This was one movie where I felt sorry for the bug. He even drops his snack (Linda Fiorentino) near the end. It just shows that bugs lead a hard life.
There was so much hype over this movie when it came out and while it didn't deliver on a huge scale it was still a good scifi movie with a few laughs thrown in for good measure. The idea that there is a secret agency out there hiding the truth of aliens living on Earth is one that a lot of people would love to watch. There are a lot of fun gadgets to be seen here and the relationship between the teacher (Jones) and the student (Smith) is pretty funny also.
