Thsi mvoie is a brilliant sequel to a classic sc fi comedy, its got just as many helariosu jokes in it as the original, i relaly like it when they are trying to get jeebes to give k his memory back and then there is the subway scene with will smith riding the big worm, deifnitly sa recomended movie, as well as the bonus features including a great music video
Sequel is more of a direct to DVD type of film than the blockbuster it wanted to be. Will Smith and Tommy lee Jones return, and while this film has a lot going fo it, it suffers from a severe lack of unoriginality. The main plot would have ran better as a TV episode than a full length film, and after this, it was clear than MIB was a one off.
A pointless sequel that plays more as a full length TV episode than a movie, MIB II lacks the freshness of the first one, and goes to great lengths to bring Tommy Lee Jones back into the story. The two lead characters go in search of a planet that has gone missing and if isn't found by a certain time will lead to the end of the world. Kids will most likely enjoy this, but others will be forgiven for passing it up.
The first Men In Black wasn't a bad film, a tongue in cheek film that lampooned The X-Files / conspiracy theory types by making the heroes the conspirators. The second in the series, however, is a bland, unfunny mess, which sees Will Smith bringing Tommy Lee Jones back into 'the force' to take on the (admittedly, very attractive) Lara Flynn Boyle as a megalomaniacal, tentacled alien.
Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones in one movie-what more could you ask for? And there are two movies! That is great stuff and they have done a wonderful job! And men in Black two, well this movie came out a fair few years later but hey it is also great and a wonderful carry-on movie from number one has been made!
Tommy Lee Jones and Will Smith are back in black as the scum-fighting super-agents Kay and Jay - regulators of all things alien on planet Earth. Their latest mission: to save the world from a total intergalactic disaster! When a renegade Kylothian monster disguised as a lingerie model threatens the survival of the human race, the boys of the MIB get the call to step up and get busy. With their headquarters under siege and time running out, Agents Kay and Jay enlist the help of Frank the Pug and a posse of hard-living worms to help them kick some seriously sexy alien butt!
Barry Sonnenfeld brings his two stars - Will Smith & Tommy Lee Jones - back for another go; but it's just not as good as the first time around... Frank the Pug feautres more this time around, and is pretty funny... I just couldn't wait for Tommy Lee Jones to get his memory back... it lacks the spark and the wit of the original, but is worth a look for fans...
The first movie contained so much bright, original writing. The concept was thoroughly new, the characters had depth and interest.
It's a high standard to measure up to. The huge commercial success of MIB I was such that a sequel was almost an economic necessity.
So, here it is. And, with much more extensive and expensive special effects, it falls very flat. It's sad, but at the core of this lack of lustre is actually the loss of friction and fun in the interplay between Tommy Lee Jones and Wil Smith. They played off one another brilliantly in the first movie, but here it seems like they're just going through the motions.
Sad. I could watch the first movie a dozen times (and maybe I already have), but this one cannot stand up to repeated viewing.
i lvoe this movie! i reckon it is way better than the first, and contains more comedy and better acting! will smith and tommy lee jones work together to make the best team, and this really is such a great movie, love the talking dog and worms! fun for the whole family, this movie is really enjoyable!
Almost as good as the original, this time the former student has to teach the former mentor how to do the job he once did which had previously been wiped out of his memory. This is pretty fun and fast paced like the original but the villian here seems to be lacking something but it's hard to figure out what exactly. Still, it's a good watch.
