Its up to a pair of trash-hauling heroes to clean up the city in this action-comedy starring brothers Charlie Sheen and Emilio Estevez. With hilarious supporting performances and an all-star soundtrack, Men At Work is an engaging comic adventure. Garbage men James (Estevez) and Carl (Sheen) dream of opening a surf shop, but often land in hot water due to their practical jokes.
When they discover the body of a murdered politician on their route, they attempt to sniff out the killer themselves - a bad idea that rapidly ensnares them in a toxic waste scandal. Soon, theyre thrown headlong into a manic escapade involving a deranged veteran, an attractive campaign manager, a kidnapped pizza delivery man and a greedy polluter who wants them hauled off to a landfill for good!

Its funny how some people try hard to capture images and moments of REAL LIFE in a film. Most try too hard. I can remember watching this film as a kid. I would rent it from the rental store every other week or so, i still dont know how i got started. Although its jokes are pretty bad, the acting is sub-par, and the behavior of every character is overly juvenile for a group of adults, there is something relaxed about the whole movie. The cast is very good, including Keith David as Louis (one of my favs), and a number of other goofy cliqued characters, like the hitmen, the crooked business exec, the uptight leading lady, and the comedic garbage buddies, Carl and James (Sheen and Estevez). I can remember some of the situations ghosting ones i had experienced in my own life. Men at Work proves that movies dont have to sell, or be critically acclaimed to be thoroughly enjoyable.

This early 90's movie with Charlie Sheen and Emilio Estevez was quite amusing as these two trash workers who would like to live a more exciting life find a dead body in the garbage. It connects them into something bigger and becomes humorous and even a little light action. Its one of those movie plots thats unique enough to remember and amusing enough to recall.
