I love Mad Max films, the whole end of the world thing appeals to me and I wasn't disappointed. Although it is a little out dated it does have the key elements, Mad Max, crazy baldheads and people need to be saved. Good fighting scene in the thunder dome, and I loved the chase scene with the truck on the railwaylines.

I saw this back in the day and it seemed forced to me. I was much younger then. Now I see the cry for nuclear disarmament. I hear the pain of living and the constant fear. "We just want to live beyond Thunderdome." This is an action sci-fi with plenty of explosions fighting and no silly romance story. It's all Australian and all good.

Mel Gibson puts in his usual stellar performance. The Waiting Ones(?) do not get any billing here, but those kids were all convincing. Tina Turner plays her part well as the controlling voice of Bardertown.

I think what holds it up is the story. I think it is very well written - consistent and moving. You can't help but feel the plight of those poor survivors. Mercy is dying in the "pocky clips."

Now it is so much better with many years under my belt. (Aside: Shakespeare is really for mature audiences. Why they make high school students read it is just a shame.) Mad Max: Beyond Thunderdoem

i actually really like the mad max movie series. despite what other reviewers have said about mad max 3 beyond thundered, i though the movie was pretty good, it was entertaining and was pretty interesting. if you want to check out mel gibson during te early stages of his career then see the mad max series.

This third episode in the Mad Max series is by far the most creative, developing the world much more thoroughly than the first two films had. But for what? Most of this movie's innovation is irritating, the story doesn't make any sense, and it mishandles the main character.I didn't really enjoy this...actually i didnt at all....dont get it unless you're really bored.

What are you people mad? This was a great movie. Mel Gibson is still Max which probably wouldn't happen these days.
Tina Turner is also fantastic in her role.
All 3 mad max movies are like my fave movies ever.
A great movie don't be fooled by others who hated it.

This third and final? chapter of the madmax movies seem to have let a lot of people down,I though on the other hand liked the movie alot and thought is was better than the first.With an amazing cast of young people who do really steal the show at times,Angry doing a wonderfull job as sidekick to a crazy Tina Turner.One final joy ride that is madmax.

MAD MAX was great,the second movie was a bit of a letdown,but the this pile of steaming cow....well you get the idea of where i'm heading here.The story of a bunch of rugrats lost in the jungle in the desert?Confused yet? you will be when you tire of the mindless crap that this movie spits out at you.I mean really,do not bother yourself.It is one movie i could have done without.Lets just hope that if the rumours about a fourth movie is true that the people do a better job,hell they could'th do any worse.

Once again Hollywood screw’s it up. This is one of the worst movies ever-made “Tina Turner” come on! They should have let it die with Max’s XC Falcon, the appeal for the Mad Max movies where they where raw and possible unlike the American BLING added in Thunderdome even the title is pathetic. DO NOT WAST YOUR MONEY, if you need to buy it don’t worry you’ll get $2.00 for it at a hockshop.

Mad Max.
I like this movie. The action is very good for its time and it is amazing to see Mel Gibson acting in a movie so young. Many fans of the previous Mad Max movies should enjoy this one as I have and want to keep watching it over and over again. Five out of five stars.

The stark Mad Max myth gets the full blown big budget Hollywood treatment complete with Tina Turner in that shocking wig. But in truth bigger is not better it is really quite inferior even though the movie is oddly enjoyable. It does however seriously fail to live up to the pure brilliance of the first Mad MAx moive.
