We have been searching everywhere for this movie so we can see it in the US. We were even in Italy when the movie came out but it was dubbed in Italian. We'll be visiting NZ soon and thought we'll buy it and take it with us...but then we discovered that even though this DVD won't play on our TV, it will on our computer. Great movie (just like the book), lived up to our expectations! And we will still take it to NZ to share it with family.

This is such a real-life story - who couldn't sympathise with Josie Alibrandi at some point in this movie?
If you like Aussie "underdog" type stories/movies you wil like Looking for Alibrandi!
The acting is excellent - you don't care about the actors because the characters are so entertaining!
I think every Australian would know someone who is like one of the characters in this movie!
I am in my 20s, and love this movie, it is one of my all-time favourites! This is a great movie to show to teenagers.

This movie confused, The adds for it made it look different so i expected a different storyline and way different morals. What i got was so much better. This story really makes you feel and understand her life. Its real, not hollywood or fake but real life.

About a year in the life of the illegitimate granddaughter of italian immigrants, during her final year of high school. Pia Miranda does a fantastic job at both the comedy and drama aspects of the movie, as her character deals with suicide, exam pressures, love and the reintroduction of her absent father. Also a great look at italian culture in australia.
