He is a man of peace in a violent land. He is Kwai Chang Caine, schooled in the spirit-mind-body ways of the Shaolin priesthood by the blind, avuncular Master Po and the stern yet loving Master Kan. Caine speaks softly but hits hard. He lives humbly yet knows great contentment. He is the Old West's most unusual hero. But hero is not a word Caine would use. He would simply say, "I am a man."All the excitement of Caine's adventures is yours to enjoy in this DVD collection featuring the breakthrough pilot movie, the 15 season-one episodes and entertaining extras featuring star David Carradine and the series creators. I really am enjoying viewing these 70's series of Kung Fu , the dialogue of caine his oriental wisdom ( teachings ) is quite perceptive and almost christian in it's outlook . the action while not in the league of Je Li blends well with the show as a whole and rounds it out nicely .

Kung fu is one of my favorite Sunday tv shows ever. This is why i used to love staying inside on a Sunday afternoon for. Kung Fu is basically Zen teachings espoused by the main character Chang Kwai Kaine who is on the run from Chinese authorities. Think the fugitive except with kung fu and eastern wisdom. It has dated quite badly yes, but its message of non violence and thought still resonates today.
