Patrick Dempsey (Outbreak) brilliantly portrays Jeremiah and heads a strong cast that includes Oliver Reed (Gladiator), Klaus Maria Brandauer (Out of Africa) and Leonor Varela (Trailer Of Panama).
Jeremiah led a long and incident-filled life, trying to convert the unconverted and dangerously challenging the authority of King Nebuchadnezzer and his evil son, Merodach. The film follows Jeremiah as he abandons his family and the woman he loves to deliver God's message in jerusalem. His warnings about the Holy City being destroyed by the Babylonians results in him being branded a traitor and persectued. But Jeremiah will not give up, suffers imprisonment and risks his life for his holy misssion. This moving epic is directed by leading film and TV director Harry winer (House Arrest, Space Camp).

This movie I very much liked. Patrick Dempsey plays Jeremiah and he portrays him very well. Everything appears to be realistic, from the locations through to the costumes. The movie doesn't stray from the bible to much which is a plus. If you like epic biblical movies then it's a much watch.
