This is a really great movie. We have a serial killer, due for execution with a last minute appeal - and then a cut to a motel where people check in , but can't get out, with occaional back flashes to previous lives. And one by one they die.
The combination of the two is wonderful; in each of the stories, who is innocent, and who is guilty? As the movie goes on, the streams combine. The conculsion is, however, still a surprise.
This movie, Identity, follows the same pattern and idea as many before it, ten strangers, a big storm, no contact with the outside world and one of them is a murderer and its not an accidnet they ended up in the motel. Pretty average cliched kind of stuff.
um yeah i gotta say that i found this movie to be quite awful. i mean the ending is ok but if you saw it coming a mile away like alot of people did then its really not that cool and kind of a waste of time. john cusack is very cool as he always is and ray liotta does his stereotypical angry cop performace, overall worth i watch i guess but not that essential.
A fantastic thriller; sort of a psychological version of Agatha Christie's "Ten Little Indians"--- 10 strangers wind up at a motel in the middle of nowhere in the middle of a torrential downpour, cut off from outside help... with a murderer in their midst. John Cusack is awesome... Liotta and Peet are pretty good too... a superb psychological thriller...
An updated rip of of ten little indians with a few clever twists and a good cast. Ten strangers are trapped at an isolated motel but one of them is killing the others off. But who is it? Everyone is suspect and no one is innocent. Rather silly, far to clever for its own good, wouldn't bear up under repeated viewings but reasonably entertaining.
