I Love Your Work follows a movie star's turbulent life: his marriage, his gradual mental breakdown and his increasing obsession with a young film student who reminds him of his life before he became famous.
Gray Evans (Giovanni Ribisi from Lost in Translation) and Mia (Franka Potente from The Bourne Supremacy), a celebrity couple, have only been married a year, but the relationship is already rocky. When he sees the marital bliss of his wildly enthusiastic fan John (Joshua Jackson from TV's Dawson's Creek) and his wife Jane (Marisa Coughlan from Gossip), Gray's world really begins to unravel. He has visions of celebrity stalkers, fantasises that he is happily involved with his ex-girlfriend Shana (Christina Ricci from Monster) and spies on the young couple in love to learn what he is doing wrong in his own life.
In this dark psychological drama, collisions between Gray's "reality", delusions and memories produce a multi-layered structure that folds and refolds about itself.

Reviews
–
Giovanni Ribisi is a good actor (see "Saving Private Ryan" and in particular "Heaven") and he does a good job here with a script that has some good ideas, but also some rather obvious ones, about the cult of celebrity and being stalked and photographed etc. Too much of this is familiar and unsurprising. But the actors maintain some interest.
