I cant get enough of Kevin and Grand Designs,thoroughly enjoyed this series and i just had to go back and start from the beginning again and watch the rest. Obviously issues are hyped a tad for the show ie... things that may go wrong etc, but that only adds to the fabness of it all ..

One thing the Grand Designs series did for me was reinforce my belief that building a home (as opposed to buying one that's already built) isn't worth all the hassle. One thing you can nearly always count on is that SOMETHING is going to go wrong. Series 3 finds Grand Designs still in top form. It's a programme that's likely to appeal to a wide range of New Zealanders. We are, after all, notorious for wanting our own quarter-acre of Godzone, aren't we?

As an intro to kevin Mcloud this is a great bargin for the price .My only question is where do they get the money to build these homes!!!!! But i admire their determination to see the project through.

It was always with immense expectations that I sat down to watch any of the Grand Designs programmes. They never disappointed, even if I didn't particularly like the results of the project. There was always a feature to admire (or even to envy) in the home that had just been built. One thing the producers could always expect was that there would be problems, and the more problems the better the programme that ensued. The problems were always overcome, one way or another, and the way they were overcome often made for riveting viewing-- though not always when it was merely a case of throwing more money at the project. I look forward to seeing this series again. But not just yet; it's still too fresh in my mind.
