Shy good girl Janey (Sarah Jessica Parker) befriends cool rock chick Lynne (Helen Hunt) on their first day of school. When Lynne convinces Janey to dismiss her overbearing father and sneak out to audition for her favorite TV dance show, Janey makes the cut. Soon, the girls find themselves on a wild adventure filled with cute boys, hot dancing, prudish nuns, mean rich kids and parents that just don't understand. Shannen Doherty co-stars.

I love this eighties movie with a very young Helen Hunt and Sarah Jessica Parker. Great veiwing for teenage girls. The eighties music is great. It's full of dancing and light hearted romance. There is no drug use or foul language, i would be comfortable for my daughter to watch. if you want a fun flashback to the eighties with leg warmers included then this is the movie for you.
