Demi Moore proves that women can really think in sticky situations (playing an Analyst in opening scene), kick butt & other parts of the anatomy when she delivers a ball-crushing kick to her Commanding Chief Viggo Mortenson, who she then rescues, whilst gaining the respect of her fellow teammates in this action piece from Diresctor Ridley Scott (Blade Runner, Gladiator), Anne Bancrift (the Graduate) & Scott Wilson (CSI Sam Willowes Catherines' father) play their roles quite humerously, not quite what I expected when I first saw it back in 1997/98 but I'd recommend it to anyone who likes a bit of action.

When I watched this film I was blown way by Demi Moore. G.I. Jane is asurprising flim that is gritty and actioned packed. I love the idea of Demi Moore trying to become part of special forces. I enjoyed the way that she never gave up and was willing to give up her feminity in order the become special forces. A good watch.

Demi Moore plays her great role as G.I. Jane and she looks so good with her shaved head. It made her look tough and sexy at the same time. Jane took no nonsense from anyone in which she had to put up with the flack from the boys with their biggest supposingly tough leader takes her on. Jane delivers the woman's fury and shows the boys that being a woman is equally as with a chance of survival.
Very entertaining and with some heavy scenes that Jane had put up with.

This 1997 action film was directed by Ridley Scott - although it appears to be one of his forgotten films... Demi Moore plays an Amazonian female recruit trying out for the Navy Seals in the US... not bad, but it is difficult watching Demi Moore taking her lumps from the Master Chief... not a bad little action thriller...
