Sensational film, fabulous story, loved every second. Well acted and the characters are just so well developed that you become hooked in their story. Fantastic script. Very gentle and understated story telling style that captures your attention without any special effects or overt sexual content. Highly recommended for all women and most men!

A beautiful movie of love and friendship in the Southern USA. There are some classic scenes, such as at the car park, or where Kathy Bates is "discovering herself". Not to mention the gladwrap! So grab your friends or loved ones (and a glass or two of wine) and enjoy. Then read the book.

you cant beat the price! this bargain is worth every cent!
a classic book, made into a truely classic movie. featuring a great cast, including Kathy Bates who is excellent, this is a heart warming movie. Send the men of the house to bed and enjoy this tear jerker with the girls. Having said that, its more than just a chick flick - it is a beautiful and honestly heart felt movie that will touch your heart. watch it again and again!

"Fried Green Tomatoes at the Whistle-Stop Cafe" is a wonderful 1991 film that is both moving and funny... Kathy Bates plays a disenchanted house-wife who befriends a little old lady who regales her with tales from her past that slowly inspire Bates to step out and to take hold of her life in a greater way... a superb cast includes Kathy Bates, Mary Stuart Masterson, Mary-Louise Parker, Jessica Tandy... a great watch...

Well this movie is definately a good movie. i wouldnt consider it to be a classic or anything but it definately has some great scenes and has some great acting by kathy bates who is an absolutely incredible actress. Overall this movie is very easy to watch and has great moments which have stayed in my mind many years after watching it.

It's been a while since I've seen this movie, but would want to watch it any time I had the chance. A true Southern movie with laughter, tears and downright good humour. If you get the chance to want to watch a good old chick flick, now's your chance.

this is one chick flick i put up there with steel magnolias! it tells a beautiful story of friendship, unconditional acceptance and a little bit of that good ole revenge! i've never looked at barbeque the same way since! definitly one to watch if you've ever been hard doneby with your man, lost sameone close to you or just value friendship.

I think about this movie every time I see a hamburger, or arrogant law enforcement officials :) It is, in fact worth watching this movie just for one particular scene, which is satisfying for each and every person who watches. On the other hand its also and impressive story with an excellent cast

i saw this movie in my english class as the year's film study. usually these english movies tend to be really boring and uniteresting, to my surprise i really enjoyed watching this movie and i found that the storyline was quite strong and really entertaining. the style is original too, its set in both past and present with two sub storylines. its a really good movie
