Beautiful, beautiful film. Well deserved of 2 Golden Globe Awards for Best Director and Best Picture. A French film based on a true story. Through the eyes of the camera the director has cleverly given a profound insight into the experience of a man who has lost his ability to communicate. As the viewer, it becomes your experience of frustration and challenge. I really felt like I knew how it was for the character and for anyone who suffers brain injury. A little frightening, but a superb reminder to live each day in the present and just how precious life is. Visually stunning, the cinematography is artisitc, delicate and passionate. Soundtrack to match. It held my every sense. I shed some tears but felt warm gratitude and appreciation for how beautiful life really is. I love this film. Must, must see.
