One of the great zombie movies, not to be lumped with other generic zombie killer horror flicks. The Xbox 360 game Dead Rising incorporates alot of concepts and ideas from this movie also. Anyone who likes quality zombie gore should definitely check out this movie and it's predecessor Day of the Dead.
One of the most original horror movies ever, this spawned so many lesser-quality itallian clones that it's not funny. Aside from maybe Bloodsucking Freaks, this was the goriest movie of it's time. Unlike the re-make (made in 2004) this is a complete gorefest, definately one of Romeros best. People trapped in a mall with zombies waiting to get inside and eat them, which finally get in and kill people. This carnage filled classic will definately satisfy fans of horror movies and splatter movies.
The sequel to Night of the Living Dead, this time round several people are trapped inside a shopping mall, with zombies grouping up outside. Filled with subtle symbology about man's obsession with material possessions and zombie like nature, the trilogy of Night, Dawn and Day has a huge cult following. The only problem this film faces is that it is quite slow to get going, and nothing of any real interest happens till the end.
This sequel to "Night of the Living Dead" is filled with splattered blood and brains in living color. The dead have come back to life to eat the living. This is the story of the escape of four people from an urban nightmare to a suburban nightmare. They barricade themselves in a shopping mall and try to start new lives. Much of this movie was filmed outside Pittsburgh.
One of the original classics of film making, and it shall always remain so. A small band of survivors hide inside a mall infested with zombies. Is survival their fate or does their fate ensure that they will become nothing more than zombies wandering the city searching for the next feed of human meat?
pfft another boring zombie flick about the dead coming back to life. really over done nowadays, this is the original that sparked it all. worth a watch, but the action does become very repetitive at times, and boring for those who are not into all that slasher stuff. an average watch i think, at best.
This DVD is definately worth picking up for any Romero or horror fans. Not only is the feature itself a piece of horror art from the master of the genre, but this is a very nicely put together DVD. The commentary with Romero lets you know even more about the God of Filmmaking, and a very healthy 70 odd minute documentary about the making of the film is really interesting
