Thanks to their creator, Peyo (Pierre Culliford) the little blue characters, no more than 3 apples high, soon become stars in their own right. But it wasn't until 1981, with the help of the celebrated cartoon duo Hanna & Barbera that work began on the television series everyone knows and loves.

This set is excellent value. This contains volumes 1 through 9 of the Smurfs DVDs which contain 52 unedited episodes all together. This is a fabulous way to relieve your childhood or share it with your children. This is such a unique show- they don't make 'em like they used to! This still contains laughs for the adults- for example, in the first episode, Papa Smurf goes on a trip and returns to find the smurfs at war with one another, so he scolds them for "behaving just like humans!"
The collector's box is cute, but can get a bit squashed during shipping.
great item, great price cheaper than the stores, the only thing was that the postal service left it on my door step, as i was not home at the time that they delivered it. . .i think that this is not a good thing to do as some one could have easily picked it up and taken it and i would not have known!!! but other wise very pleased
My eight year old daughter really loves the Smurfs now that she has been introduced to them. Even my 12 year old will watch them quite happily when they're on.
