with out a doubt the best movie of the matrix trilogy. in this second movie trinity and neo's relation ship blossoms and the action that occurs within the 2 hours of this film is done so skill fully and the visual effects so stunningly rendered that it will stay with you long after you have finished watching it. five stars
At times the dialogue is clunky and the Zion scenes are a little too Star Trek and Buck Rogers, but the action is always astonishing, and the humor is always in the right place...if not too much in the right place...For example Neo uses one of the many Agent Smiths to take down other Agent Smiths sending them all crashing with the sound of falling bowling pins. A little goofy but fun. The action though, I can't say enough about. The center chase scene is awesome and the opening cycle scene is.... Okay, no more words, "The Matrix: Reloaded" will not disappoint and by the time you reach the cliffhanger ending you're more than ready for a break from this double talking, mind bending adventure.
I have to say this sequel to The Matrix was quite disappointing and in my opinion a let-down. I was expecting something a little more... this movie just screamed "I am a bridging film". The special effects were stunning but all the kissing and romance scenes were a bit much.
matrix reloaded is a real must own film, and is a good followup to the first movie. It is visually stunning and has heaps of real cool dudez like the guys with blonde hair.......also the french guy with the hot wife is pretty cool as well. Obviously you should own this if you own The first matrix, classic stuff.
The Matrix is a rip off of 'Dark City' which is an amazing and brilliant film.
It's based Roughly six months after the original "Matrix", Neo begins to have nightmares about Trinity plunging to her death. Meanwhile, the rebels have returned to the city of Zion to learn that 250,000 sentinels are digging towards them in order to seek Zion and wipe out the human resistance. The Oracle gives Neo instructions to find the keymaker and seek out the source. If Neo fails the mission, then the rebellion will be crushed, and the machines will win the war.
Here we got a very bad film. It is lame and not worth watching.
I suggest passing on this. It's a lame-o film. The Matrix was not bad, but nothing great. Here, we got crap.
The second movie in the Matrix Trilogy, and as far as sequels go ,this one's a beauty. Neo becomes more powerful and begins to use his powers to help Zion as it prepares for the attack of the machine army. The ending leaves you hanging, but I recommend you carry on and watch the last movie too.
Watched RELOADED again (for the third time) in a 3-day MATRIX-palooza with my 11-year-old son (fast-forwarded thru the kissing scenes). Good sequels are hard to find, and the original MATRIX was so impressively mind-blowing in its originality that I would have been hard-pressed to come up with this story line.
Last night I was fortunate enough to stumble across some tix to the "Reloaded" premiere. Since the original "Matrix" came out a few years ago everyone has imitated its' kenetic action style, which led me to think there's no way they can recapture that fresh and exciting edge again. But they did. The Wachowskis have way out done the new "Star Wars" films and without a doubt have far surpassed the "X-Men films." At times the dialogue is clunky and the Zion scenes are a little too Star Trek and Buck Rogers, but the action is always astonishing, and the humor is always in the right place...if not too much in the right place...For example Neo uses one of the many Agent Smiths to take down other Agent Smiths sending them all crashing with the sound of falling bowling pins.
Not anywhere near as good as the first Matrix, this film does lack in terms of plot and sometimes can be hard to follow what is going on. That said this film is still a great peice of filmmaking and has an excellent array of special effects and visuals. The dvd has a quite in depth special features selection, behind the scenes and featurettes are very cool if your into films and filmmaking.
This movie really made me wonder about all the gossip regarding court cases against the brothers... did they steal the script for the Matrix?
THe first one, ignoring content, special effects etc... it was a master of pacing and filmaking genius. That is almost completely lacking in the sequal. Fights and action scenes with no emotional involvement, crazy plot lines.... This had much of the same problems Episode One of star wars had. Instead of being about characters it is about the franchise, and audiences only ever connect to characters. I tried to give it achance when i first saw it cos i hoped the next one would pull it together, but I wish theyd jus stopped at one :(
