This is a love story with beautiful scenery and enough mystery and suspense to make it very entertaining. The sets are fantastic and there is a huge contrast with the outfits of the various main charcters. The bishop is haughty and elegant, the priest is scruffy and consumed with guilt, the thief is pitiful but so commical while the two leading characters are just so awesome. I saw this movie ages ago and was pleased to view it again. It hasn't dated and the movie tricks used are as effective now as then.

This is about a man and woman in love. Under a curse the man is human at day while the woman is a hawk, at night the man becomes a wolf and woman human.
They are on a quest to find the person who cursed them and kill him so they can live happily ever after.

Captain Etienne Navarre is a man on whose shoulders lie a cruel curse. Punished for loving each other, Navarre must become a wolf by night whilst his lover, Lady Isabeau, takes the form of a hawk by day. Together, with the thief Philippe Gaston, they must try to overthrow the corrupt Bishop and in doing so break the spell.

I really enjoyed this movie. One your whole family will love. An awesome story line. I know that sounds really cheesy but once you see this movie; you will know what I am talking about. A definite buy. You can watch over & over and still love it for years to come.

This movie is a prime example of medieveil romantsism. a gorgeous tale, well told with a awesome cast(watch for mathew broderick as a teenager) this is one of the classics that has been loved through generations of my family. may it live on! The animals are especially stunning. i highly recommend it.

I thought it was a very good fantasy movie. It's bit of sad movie because Navarre must become a wolf by night whilst his lover, Lady Isabeau, takes the form of a hawk by day. They never to meet in human form, unless they can reverse the evil spell cast upon them.

Ladyhawke is a surprisingly effective medieval romantic adventure about a young thief who finds himself in the company of a mysterious knight who rides an enormous black horse and travels with a hawk who turns into a beautiful woman after dark while he turns into a wolf. Its well made and extremely entertaining.
