Excellent tearjerker- you'll laugh and cry at this one. Renee is brilliant as the Miss Potter from a family of social climbers whose only expectation of their daughter is for her to get married. She meets a family owned publishers who want an occupation for their younger brother to keep him out of their affairs so they give him Miss Potter and her bunny book but he has plans. Miss Potter and her books are the best thing to ever happen and become the bestsellers as Miss Potter and the young publisher fall in love.
A partial biopic of a woman made famous by her charming children's stories about small animals - the much-loved English author and illustrator Beatrix Potter, the creator of Peter Rabbit. The film tells of her difficulties with her family and the publishing world in general who looked down their noses at children's books until Peter Rabbit was published to huge success. Also follows her developing relationship with her publisher.
