Clifford the Big Red Dog adores his owner Emily Elisabeth, but when he overhears her parents talking about the enormous meals he eats, Clifford's feelings are hurt. Thinking he is a burden on the family, Clifford decides to earn his own keep and leaves Birdwell Island.

With his best friends Cleo and T-Bone by his side, Clifford joins a travelling carnival troupe in the hope of winning a lifetime supply of Tummy Yummies dog food. From disastrous circus performances to a dazzling taste of stardom, Clifford is on the adventure of a lifetime, but it doesn't take long before he is homesick and lonely.

Meanwhile, his owners who love him embark on a search for their best (and biggest) friend.

Synopsis

Clifford overhears a conversation between his owners about how much money it costs to feed Clifford, who has a gargantuan appetite. Thinking that he is a financial burden on the family, Clifford sets out with his pals to prove his worth and earn his keep.
