this is one of the best all round entertainment films i've seen in a long time. good pisstake, great music, great cast...but a great deeper message that we're all the same underneath........and what's more we went to Broome after seeing this.....and went into the Sun Cinema and watched... Bran Nue Dae..surreal....and Broome is more beautiful than in the film !!!
We loved this movie. It is funny, fresh, vibrant, a real piss take on Australian values and not scared to include Aboriginal themes. True entertainment and great performances from "big stars" like Geoffrey Rush, to the young leads and newcomers such as Missy Higgins. It's just a party movie, and good fun. But it's a musical. For those that like musicals. It doesn't need that much of a plot. That's not what it's about.
oh boy. This movie is one of the worst movies i have seen lately. If there would not be for Jessica Mauboy, this movie would drag. She lift it up little bit, at least with her voice. The movie has no plot wich is building, it has few funny moments but I don't want to see this movie ever again
